Azran Osman-Rani is currently the founder of Naluri Hidup, a digital health technology company providing a cost-effective, accessible digital solution to provide mental health and wellness support, and help users adopt healthier lifestyle behaviour changes.
Osman-Rani is active in the internet technology space as a co-founder and investor to iflix, MoneyMatch, Cognifyx, and YellowPorter. He was previously CEO of iflix in Malaysia and its Group COO – a disruptive internet television video-on-demand service that was launched in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, and now operates across over 30 markets across Asia, Middle East and Africa with 700 employees less than three years from launch.
Previously Osman-Rani was the founding CEO of AirAsia X, the world’s pioneer low-cost longhaul airline. He led the start-up team that developed the business plan, raised capital, secured relevant licenses, and launched AirAsia X’s first flight in November 2007. AirAsia X since expanded from one aircraft to 26, employing over 2,500 staff, and approximately US$1 billion in annual revenue in 2014. Osman-Rani led the development of AirAsia X’s business model that broke many long-haul airline conventions and pioneered various innovations including the 2013-2014 Skytrax World’s Best Low-Cost Airline Business Class flatbed seats, Quiet Zone, Fly-Thru connections, Seat assignments and upgrade options, and In-flight entertainment services.
Prior to AirAsia X, Azran Osman-Rani was formerly the Senior Director of Business Development for Astro All Asia Networks plc, where he led the start-up and business building of Astro’s media, creative content, and technology investments and joint ventures across Southeast Asia, India and Greater China.
Brajesh Panth

Mr. Panth coordinates ADB's strategic support for Asia and the Pacific region's education sector development. He provides technical advice on ADB's strategies for new business opportunities, portfolio management, and mentors education sector project teams in designing and implementing innovative education projects. Before moving to the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, he worked in Central Asia and South Asia Departments including in the Bangladesh Resident Mission in processing, administering and coordinating education projects and technical assistance projects and in managing knowledge products. Mr. Panth brought a wealth of experience from World Bank where he supervised operations in the areas of education and functioned as the main advisor on the education sector in Nepal responsible for administering programs at all levels of education.

Dr Chee Leong Goh

Dr Goh is the treasurer for the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS), the first Asian to ever hold that position, and was the past President for the ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) as well as the Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA) and has also been appointed Consultant Psychologist for MENSA Malaysia. He has served as project leader for eight UNICEF projects in Malaysia, including a capacity-building project in tsunami-affected communities in Kedah, the development of a national child trauma response team, a bully prevention intervention in Malaysian schools, and a positive discipline initiative in schools. He is a member of the Ministry of Health’s National Disaster Taskforce for Mental Health that has been commissioned to construct a disaster response protocol for Malaysia. Dr Goh also headed a research team funded by World Vision to conduct studies on youth psychosocial factors in Timor Leste (East Timor). His many works include publishing in the area of memory and eyewitness testimonies among children.
Dr Chun-Yen Chang

Dr. Chang is a science education scholar in Taiwan. Currently, he serves as National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Chair Professor, Director of Science Education Center (NTNU), Professor of the Graduate Institute of Science Education and the Department of Earth Sciences (NTNU). Over the past few years, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Education University of Hong Kong and the Paris 8 University. His major research interests include science education, e-Learning, interdisciplinary science learning and science communication. Dr. Chang now is the Editor-in-Chief of the Eurasia Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education. He is also on the Editorial Board of three journals: Studies in Science Education, Learning, Media & Technology, and Journal of Science Education and Technology. In 2019, CouldClassRoom (CCR) mobile system, which was developed by him and his research team, has been selected as an exemplar institution in the 2019 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report.
Dr Esyin Chew
Senior Lecturer in Information Systems Cardiff Metropolitan University
Dr Esyin Chew is an interdisciplinary academic working with humanoid robots that enhanced assessment and feedback in education and healthcare. Before joining Cardiff Metropolitan University, she was the Co-ordinator for the Master in Business Information Systems programme and a Senior Lecturer in IT at Monash University Malaysia. Esyin was an independent academic consultant prior to Monash, a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), University of South Wales and a Lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science and IT, University of Malaya.
Specialising in robotic apps design and educational technologies, Esyin provides academic consultancy and training workshops for a wide range of educational innovations such as Turnitin & GradeMark, personal response systems, learning spaces and flipped classroom. She facilitated institutional blended learning implementation, staff development and TEL best practices / policy development for higher education. With the teaching excellence and educational research contribution, she is granted the Fellow status of the UK Higher Education Academy since 2011. Esyin is invited as a reviewer for various indexed journals and international conferences. Prior to her academic career, Esyin was a software engineer in Acer Group Malaysia and e-Business Ltd, contributing to the development of the first Malaysia online banking system and Acer web-based EIS system in late 1990s.
With the academic and industrial engagement, Esyin is an active researcher who has led a few government, universities and industrial funded projects from EU, Australia, Malaysia and UK. Esyin supervised PhD and master students with a particular interest in robotics and analytics. In addition, she enjoys playing with two daughters and serving God by serving others.
Dr Fiona Clarke
Lecturer in Medicine Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed)
After completing Specialist Training Dr Clarke became a Consultant Rheumatologist in the North East of England, sub-specialising in Adolescent and Young Adult Rheumatology. Her other interest is Medical Education and she obtained a Masters in Clinical Education and taught (and still teach) postgraduate students in Medical Education. She became an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians which involved examining at international centres including Malaysia, and in 2018 she took 3 years leave of absence from her clinical job to teach full time at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed). She is a member of the NUMed EDI committee
Dr Fridolin Ting
Teaching Fellow Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Dr Ting is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Toronto in Canada. He received "Best Teacher Award" in the Department of Applied Mathematics in 2014, the Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles (FAST) Award for Outstanding Performance in Team Teaching (Team Leader) in 2018; and won the Silver Award for Edtech Leader in Asia (Tertiary) in 2019. His research interests are in Technology Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) in STEM related Subjects and is the Principal Investigator for the “Pedagogic and Active Learning Mobile Solutions” (PALMS) Project (http://palms.polyu.edu.hk/) which has received numerous international educational awards for their novel active pedagogies and apps (see e.g., yoteachapp.com).
Dr Greg Winslett

After completing a Bachelor of Arts at UQ, Greg left Australia and worked in several education and technology roles in Osaka, Japan. He returned to Australia five years later with a renewed interest in higher education and commenced work at QUT. During his 14 years there, Greg held several professional and academic roles (including a year living and working at a distance in Barcelona) and completed a PhD that focused on higher education teaching and learning innovation.
More recently, he worked at the University of New England as Director, Learning Futures, and later as Director, Teaching and Learning.
Greg is currently completing an Executive MBA. Greg is a long-standing fan of teaching in higher education, learning design and educational technology.
Dr Habibah Binti Abdul Rahim

Dr Habibah started her career in 1986 as a teacher before advancing her service in various organisations in the Ministry. She earned a bachelor's degree with honours in Biology from the University of Salford, the United Kingdom in 1984 before furthering her studies in Master's Degree in Education at University of Bristol, the United Kingdom in 1993. She obtained a doctorate in education from Stanford University in California, the United States in 2001.
Among the positions she has held in the ministry are deputy director-general (policy and curriculum sector), education planning and policy research director, performance and delivery unit (Padu) executive director and senior lecturer at Aminuddin Baki Institute.
Dr Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich

Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich is currently serving as Deputy Minister of Education and Task-oriented Deputy Party Leader affiliated with Democrat party under the leadership of DPM Jurin. Recently advocating for computer coding language education and the application of technology/innovations to education system.
Since 2001, Khunying Kalaya has been the most outstanding female politician in the Democrat Party. She has a prestigious background in the academia and charity.
She formerly served as Minister of Science and Technology under PM Abhisit’s administration from December 2008 to June 2010. Also elected party-list MP affiliated with Democrat party in the latest 2019 election, but later gave up her MP seat to other Democrats after she assumed her ministerial post as Deputy Education Minister under PM Prayut’s administration. She is one of the leading women in science and technology, and served on the boards of various academic and charitable organizations, including the Thai Junior Encyclopedia Project under the patronage of late King Bhumibol.

Dr Yen Nee Tan

Dr Tan is the Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Newcastle University, UK (Singapore campus). She earned her PhD degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and National University of Singapore. She has assumed several academic appointments and taken various responsibilities to serve in the scientific community. She is the Principal Investigator of Biosensors and Nanomaterials at the Newcastle Research and Innovation Institute (NewRIIS) and the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. She is currently a member of the Newcastle University in Singapore (NUIS) EDI committee. Elmarié is a passionate educator with extensive experience in the design and implementation of private and public education transformation projects across several continents. She has been included in the Meaningful Business 100 for the transformative work done in education to achieve the UN Sustainability goals. Under her leadership, RITE International Inc and RITE Education Sdn Bhd and Consultancy provide support to governments, foundations as well as private and public entities in the design and delivery of education solutions that result in sustainable transformation. A key current project is a collaboration with AIM (Agensi Innovasi Malaysia) to design GENOSIS - a new accreditation framework for Malaysian public schools. RITE also collaborates closely with the PINTAR Foundation through the national training of PINTAR Foundation school leaders and teachers. Previously the Founding CEO of the Malaysian Collective Impact Initiative, the first Collective Impact organisation in Malaysia, Elmarie now serves as Strategic and Education Adviser to MCII after driving the growth of the Collective to a network of 70+ organisations. Fairuz Nadira Zainal

Fairuz brings with her close to 5 years of experience in teaching and training. Having begun her professional pursuit as a teacher at the International Modern Arabic School, she taught English to primary and secondary school students giving main emphasis on the basic skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Subsequently, she was appointed as a Microsoft Learning Consultant delivering training modules on 21st Century Learning Design by SRI International, Microsoft Office 365 Tool in Education, Windows 10 in Education, Skype and Minecraft in Education to a wide variety of audiences encompassing students from schools and universities, educators in the public and private institutions, IT personnel and officers from the Ministry of Education, to name a few.
In 2018, Fairuz then proceeded to become part of the team at INTI International University and Colleges as an Assistant Manager under the Corporate Teaching and Learning Division. Her main duties involved the management of training programmes, the facilitation of in house face-to-face training, webinar sessions in utilising the Learning Management System and the exploration of other educational tools to be incorporated into the institution’s blended learning. As an instructional designer, she has been responsible for curating and developing content and full online courses in the Learning Management System for postgraduate students.
Currently, Fairuz is the founder and CEO of Edufye Learnscape Solutions where she provides training on educational tools for the K-12 to Higher Education students and teachers at public and private institutions. Her other roles include consultation to school leaders, parents and educators on enhancing their school programs and pedagogical activities, and to also advise IT personnel in deploying the appropriate tools or platform to support teaching and learning.
A graduate in Bachelor of Education from the Management and Science University, Shah Alam, Fairuz carries with her a wealth of experience from educational training to the integration of technology in learning modules. Her other skills include public speaking, public relations and project management across varied backgrounds from the education field.

Jocelyn Gamble

Mr Jocelyn Gamble holds both a Bachelors Degree from Manchester University and a PGCE from Reading University, both in the UK. With over 12 years of experience of teaching both in the UK and internationally, he has built up a passion for education and technology in the classroom.
After completing his degree he worked in Londons West End for a number of years within the Lighting and Sound field with a focus on design and programming where he also supported the teaching training of staff. He then went on to study for his PGCE in ICT and upon graduating worked to become both a head of department and an assistant head of year for a large secondary school and 6th form in Surrey, UK and was instrumental in the development and deployment of whole-school technology projects.

Professor Eric Hawkinson

Eric is a learning futurist, tinkering with and designing technologies that may better inform the future of teaching and learning. Eric is president and research coordinator of MAVR, a research group working in immersive technologies for teaching and learning, and more specifically, augmented and virtual realities in language learning. Eric's day job is at the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies where he teaches courses and conducts research on issues related to technology in tourism and education. Eric also leads a team of interactive media designers for TEDxKyoto. Eric's projects have included augmented tourism rallies, AR community art exhibitions, mixed reality escape rooms, and other experiments in immersive tech. Professor Ju-Ho Lee
Professor of Public Policy and Management & Former Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, South Korea KDI School of Management
Professor Lee served as Minister of Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of South Korea (2010-2013). Before joining the ministry as Vice Minister in 2009, he was Senior Secretary to the President for Education, Science, and Culture. He has been noted for his education reform endeavors and active lawmaking as a member of the National Assembly (2004-2008). His policy entrepreneurship began when he worked as a research fellow at the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and as a professor at the KDI School for Public Policy and Management. He has written many articles and several books including Human Capital and Development: Lessons and Insights from Korea’s Transformation (2018) and Positive Changes: The Education, Science & Technology Policies of Korea (2012).
He received his BA and MA degrees from Seoul National University and his PhD in Economics from Cornell University in 1990. After his nine-year service in the Korean parliament and government, he returned to academia in 2013 as a professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management. Utilizing his experience as a high-ranking public servant, he actively resumed his research on human capital and innovation policies, covering a wide range of issues including 21st century skills, changes in the education workforce, strategies for education reforms, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, innovation ecosystems, and government reforms. In addition to serving as an Education Commissioner, he is also actively working for the international community as a Commissioner of 3ie and as Chair of the Education Workforce Initiative.

Professor Khin Mar Mar is recently working part-time as a Professor in Psychology Department, University of Mandalay, Myanmar. Until 2012, she has been serving about 12 years in the Psychology Department as Professor and Head of Psychology Department. She started her carrier in 1968 specializing psychology major at Mandalay University. She has got the bachelor’s degree in 1972. She was appointed as a tutor after she completed her Master of Arts in psychology in 1975. From 1986 to 1993, she served in the Mandalay University, as Assistant Lecturer and Lecturer. She was promoted as an Associate Professor in 1998. She was appointed to serve as Professor and Head of Psychology Department in Mandalay University in 2000. She taught Psychology for over 40 years. She has accomplished over 20 academic papers. Amongst them, 16 academic papers have been published internationally. She has supervised 17 Ph.D. candidates and recently a member of PhD steering committee in the field of psychology at University of Mandalay. To keep abreast of trends in educational development and research she has also participated international conferences in Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines. She enjoys participating seminars, conferences and summits in the field of Psychology.
Professor Ni Ni Hlaing

Professor Hlaing has been engaged in the research on educational technology as well as English Literature, Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching since 1993. She is visionary and active in the field of ELT by developing and utilizing new methods innovatively, especially collaborative learning. Throughout her academic career, her teaching and research interests have focused on the use of information and communication technologies to enhance and transform learning and teaching. Moreover, her research interests are teaching English associated variants along with exploring the innovative ways for understanding learners' aspects. She has accomplished over 20 research projects in the field of ELT. Her ideas have been published, with more than 30 academic papers nationally and 20 internationally. She has supervised over 40 Ph.D. students and recently a member of Ph.D. Steering Committee at University of Mandalay, Upper Myanmar.

Professor Zabidi Hussin

Prof Hussin graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne England with a medical degree in 1985. He subsequently underwent further training in the field of Paediatrics in the United Kingdom and was given an honour of being the Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health of UK. He further subspecializes in the field of Paediatric Neurology and underwent trainings in Australia, Japan and the USA. He is a member of expert panel on ethics to the European Research Agency and also a visiting clinical professor to the American University of Sovereign Nations, USA. He is a Council Member to the Malaysian Medical Council and has published extensively in the area of Paediatrics, Paediatric Nutrition, Ethics and Paediatric Neurology. He has been invited to speak in the areas of Innovations in Paediatrics and also on the areas of his specialisations.

Samuel is a Project Manager in the OECD’s National Skills Strategy programme and is currently managing the National Skills Strategy projects for Latvia and Korea. These projects provide countries with a strategic approach to skills policies to ensure that people and countries have the skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world due to megatrends such as digitalisation. He has also worked on the National Skills Strategy projects for Flanders, Mexico and Spain, covering issues such as developing relevant skills over the life course, using skills effectively in work and society, and strengthening the governance of skills systems. He has previously worked on the Survey of Adult Skills and PISA for Development. Prior to joining the OECD, he worked for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development on migration issues and the German Development Agency in an educational reform project in Guatemala focusing on intercultural bilingual education, teacher education and student assessment. He was also a research fellow at the UNESCO International Bureau of Education in Geneva where he focused on inclusive education, capacity development and curriculum design. Samuel holds a Master of Education degree from Harvard University and is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics of Education at the University of Cambridge.

Thanbeer is an English Language teacher at S.M.K. Seri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. She is also the International Relations Coordinator and Student Affairs Coordinator. She believes in learning by doing and heads the Interact Club that organises an array of activities and campaigns throughout the year and raises funds for a selected benefactor annually to create awareness among students on global and current issues, bridge the gap between school and the real-world as well as improve their English language proficiency. Thanbeer was a teacher-mentor to trainee teachers and Master Trainer for CEFR selected by Ministry of Education (MOE) in collaboration with Cambridge English (Language Assessment), where she trained teachers to adopt CEFR in the teaching of English Language in Malaysia.
