Dr Fridolin Ting

Teaching Fellow Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Dr Ting is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Toronto in Canada. He received "Best Teacher Award" in the Department of Applied Mathematics in 2014, the Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles (FAST)  Award for Outstanding Performance in Team Teaching (Team Leader) in 2018; and won the Silver Award for Edtech Leader in Asia (Tertiary) in 2019.  His research interests are in Technology Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) in STEM related Subjects and is the Principal Investigator for the “Pedagogic and Active Learning Mobile Solutions” (PALMS) Project (http://palms.polyu.edu.hk/) which has received numerous international educational awards for their novel active pedagogies and apps (see e.g., yoteachapp.com).
